Summary
Take Profit Trader is a Florida-based futures funding firm run by founder and CEO James Sixsmith. Traders buy a monthly test subscription in one of five sizes from $25K to $150K, hit a profit target over at least three trading days, and keep their best day under half of total profit. Passing leads to a simulated PRO account, activated for a one-time fee, where withdrawals can begin on day one once the buffer is built, at an 80% split. Selected traders are invited to live PRO+ accounts routed through Tradovate with end-of-day drawdown and a 90% split. Only CME Group futures are allowed, and bots are banned on PRO.

Is Take Profit Trader legit?
Take Profit Trader publishes PRO account withdrawal rules allowing withdrawals from day one after a buffer has been built. Its Trustpilot page shows 4.4 from 10,997 reviews as of October 2026, with no warning banner observed. Day-one access is conditional: the PRO account must first reach its required buffer. A customer-review score does not guarantee a future withdrawal will be approved.
- Founded
- The founding date is not confirmed by the official payout source cited here.
- Trustpilot
- 4.4 from 10,997 reviews (October 2026). No warning banner was observed during our check.
- Payouts
- PRO withdrawals are available from day one once the required buffer is reached, with an 80/20 profit split. The official example requires a 50K account to reach $52,000 before withdrawals at the 80% trader share. A fixed minimum withdrawal is not confirmed by the cited article.
- Watch out for
- The PRO buffer equals the account's maximum drawdown. On 50K, that means building $2,000 before the normal 80% withdrawals described in the policy.
- Our take
- We would budget for the buffer before comparing day-one withdrawals with another firm's payout schedule.
