How do payouts compare?

TPT's PRO account is built for instant access: withdraw from day one, above the buffer, with no minimum number of profitable days, no maximum amount and no payout windows. The buffer equals the account's maximum drawdown amount. TPT says withdrawals typically arrive within one business day. The split is 80/20, rising to 90/10 on the live PRO+ account, which also drops the buffer.

Apex's new Performance Accounts pay 100% of approved requests. Eligibility takes 5 qualifying days of at least $250 each on the 50K EOD account ($200 on Intraday), a $500 minimum, a 50% consistency check and a permanent safety net of $52,100 on a 50K, so the smallest request needs a $52,600 balance. Each account allows only 6 payouts, capped at $1,500 to $3,000 per request on a 50K depending on product and payout number, before it closes.

Which rules catch traders out?

TPT's test requires 3 minimum trading days and a best day below 50% of total profit. The bigger trap comes later: the funded PRO account switches from the test's end-of-day drawdown to an intraday trailing drawdown that follows your peak balance, including unrealized gains. PRO also adds a news rule (flat one minute before, during and after prohibited events) and a buffer you must leave in the account.

Apex's Intraday evaluation trails your peak balance in real time, including unrealized gains, its EOD evaluation adds a fixed $1,000 daily loss limit (50K), and both new funded types enforce a tier-based daily loss limit intraday. New Apex products offer no resets: fail, and you buy a new evaluation. The 6-payout lifetime cap ends every funded account by design.

How do the funded accounts differ?

TPT's PRO account is simulated, with an intraday trailing drawdown, a buffer and a one-time $130 fee. PRO+ is a live brokerage account through Tradovate with end-of-day drawdown, no buffer and a 90/10 split.

Apex's Performance Account keeps the evaluation's size and drawdown model, adds tier-based contract scaling and an intraday-enforced daily loss limit, and keeps the safety net for the account's life. After the sixth payout, the account closes.

Frequently asked questions

Which firm pays out first?

Take Profit Trader: from day one of the PRO account, any profit above the buffer, with no minimum days; withdrawals typically arrive within one business day. Apex allows a request after 5 qualifying days of $250 or more each on the 50K EOD account, with a $500 minimum.

Do the drawdown rules change after funding?

At TPT, yes: the test uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown, but PRO accounts trail intraday on peak balance, including unrealized gains. Apex keeps the same drawdown model from evaluation to Performance Account on its new products.

Which pays more per withdrawal?

Apex pays 100% of approved requests, capped at $1,500 to $3,000 per request on a 50K depending on product and payout number. TPT pays 80% on PRO and 90% on the live PRO+, with no maximum withdrawal amount.

Do the funded accounts expire?

Apex closes each Performance Account after 6 approved payouts, so you requalify through a new evaluation. TPT sets no payout-count cap on PRO, and PRO+ offers a live account at 90/10 with no buffer.
