What changed
Apex's help center says the previous versions of its Evaluation and Performance accounts were no longer available for new purchase from March 1, 2026. It calls them Legacy products and sells two new families: EOD Drawdown and Intraday Drawdown accounts.
The main change for a buyer is billing. On Apex's current pages, a new evaluation is a single payment for one account size and type. It gives 30 consecutive calendar days of access and then expires, with no renewal and nothing to cancel. If you fail or run out of time, you buy a new one, because the new plans have no resets. Legacy evaluations stayed on recurring billing until the trader cancels, and only Legacy evaluations can be reset.
| Before | After | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Previous (Legacy) Evaluation and Performance accounts on sale | Legacy accounts no longer sold; EOD and Intraday products launched | March 1, 2026 |
| Legacy evaluations bill on a recurring basis until cancelled | New evaluations are a one-time fee for 30 calendar days of access | Current terms checked October 26, 2026 |
| Legacy evaluations can be reset | New evaluations have no resets; a failure means a new purchase | Current terms checked October 26, 2026 |
Who it affected
From March 1, 2026, buyers were moved to the new products, with one exception described below. Traders who already held Legacy evaluations or Performance Accounts did not have their rules changed, and Apex says there were no retroactive changes.
Legacy accounts cannot be converted or transferred into the new types. A passed Legacy evaluation can only become a Legacy Performance Account. You can hold both kinds at once, but active Legacy PA, Intraday PA and EOD PA accounts together are capped at 20 per household. Legacy payout rules, for reference, are on Apex's Legacy pages: 100% of the first $25,000 paid out per account and 90% after that, a payout after 8 trading days with 5 profitable days of at least $50, a 30% single-day consistency rule, and a 5:1 risk-reward rule.
Where it stands now (October 2026)
As of October 26, 2026, Apex's help center still describes the March 1 split. Its homepage promotes the new EOD and Intraday products and also shows a limited-time offer that brings Legacy evaluations back across six balance tiers and three platforms. So the March 1 cut-off is the normal rule, with a current exception while that promotion runs.
The homepage also advertises, for new products only, a 5-day payout window, no evaluation consistency rule, a 50% consistency rule, and 100% of requested rewards with no split in the simulated funded stage. We read those as current marketing claims, not as terms dated to March 1, so confirm them on the plan you plan to buy. See every Apex plan we track on our Apex Trader Funding page.
