Our verdict

Kraken Prop suits an experienced Kraken Pro trader who wants exchange-backed funded capital, no time limit and no consistency rule, with crypto and index perpetuals in one account. The trade-offs are non-refundable evaluation fees once trading begins, a tight 3% maximum drawdown on the cheapest Advanced plan, and a program launched in May 2026 with no long track record. Traders keep 80% by default and 90% with an upgrade, with payouts to a Kraken account typically processed within 24 hours, although the payout currency is not named on official pages. There is no Kraken Prop rating on Trustpilot at all, so the exchange-wide Kraken rating must not be read as a rating for this program, and leverage now runs to 10x on BTC, Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500.

  • r/CryptoCurrency2026-08-12
How has everyone been fairing with Kraken Funded?

Mixed replies. One user qualified on the $20 plan and cashed out in under 24 hours. Others say the strict drawdown rules make most people fail.

    Is Kraken prop a scam?

Asker worries about the $20 entry fee. Commenters say it is a normal prop model and that the 3% daily loss limit makes passing hard.

  • r/KrakenSupport2026-07-01
Kraken Funded Challenge -- 12% Sell Penalty??!

Poster says selling a winning position appears to erase most of the gain and asks for clearer rules and pricing. Others report the same confusion and one says support answers were unclear.

Opinions on the Kraken-branded prop program

Is Kraken Prop legit?

Kraken Prop is documented by Kraken as a trading evaluation program inside Kraken Pro, with funded-account payouts to the main Kraken wallet. Its default trader share is 80%, with a paid 90% upgrade. Kraken exchange reviews are not a prop-program track record. Evaluate the prop agreement separately rather than infer its protections from the exchange brand.

Founded
The program launch date is not confirmed by the official sources cited here.
Trustpilot
No dedicated Kraken Prop Trustpilot rating was verified. Exchange ratings are not used to assess the prop program.
Payouts
The default split is 80/20; upgrading to 90/10 costs an additional 20% of the base evaluation price. Payouts require no open positions or orders. Reviews are typically under 12 hours and promised within 24 hours, with USD or USDG sent to the Kraken wallet. A fixed minimum is not confirmed in the FAQ.
Watch out for
The published trading commission is 0.04% per side plus funding on open positions. Fees reduce balance and count toward loss limits. Exchange wallet withdrawal is a separate step after the prop payout.
Our take
We would compare the prop-specific fees and loss rules, not assume exchange reviews establish prop payout reliability.
