How do payouts compare?

MFFU's Rapid plan is built around speed: daily payout eligibility starting 24 hours after your first trade, a $2,100 buffer on the 50K, a $500 minimum withdrawal, a 90/10 split and no consistency rule. MFFU says more than 75% of payouts are auto-approved in under a second. Its Builder plan pays every 48 hours at 80/20 with a 50% consistency rule per payout cycle and a $2,000 per-request cap on the 50K; Pro pays every 14 days with a $1,000 minimum.

Topstep's Express Funded Account (XFA) pays 90% with a $125 minimum. The Standard path needs 5 winning days of $150 or more and caps requests at 50% of the balance ($2,000 on a 50K). Live Funded payouts are uncapped.

Which rules catch traders out?

On MFFU's Builder plan, the max loss limit locks at $100 above the starting balance after your first payout; the room left is whatever balance remains above that locked floor. The Rapid evaluation also applies a 50% best-day consistency rule even though the funded stage drops it, and Builder now carries a $1,000 soft-pause daily loss limit that stops trading for the day without breaching the account.

At Topstep, the 55% best-day rule raises your profit target if one day does too much of the work. In the funded account, the trailing Maximum Loss Limit locks at $0 once the balance reaches $2,000 of profit (50K) or after your first payout, whichever comes first, so the account closes if the balance ever returns to $0.

How do the funded accounts differ?

Topstep's XFA starts at $0, enforces a scaling plan, and its loss limit locks at $0 as described above. The Live Funded Account is a separate stage with a mandatory daily loss limit and uncapped payouts; Topstep's risk team decides call-ups at its discretion.

MFFU's sim funded rules depend on the plan: Rapid keeps an intraday drawdown with daily payouts, while Builder and Pro use end-of-day trailing drawdowns. Each plan has its own live-transition trigger: on Rapid, $10,000 net profit in a single day moves you automatically; Builder requires 5 consecutive payouts; Pro is reviewed after 3 consecutive payouts or $20,000 profit.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper for a 50K account?

At list prices, passing within the first billing month costs $198 at Topstep on the Standard path ($49 plus $149 activation) or $95 on the No Activation Fee path, versus a $209 one-time payment for MFFU's 50K Rapid. Topstep bills monthly while you evaluate; MFFU does not charge renewals.

Who pays out faster?

MFFU's Rapid plan: first payout 24 hours after your first funded trade once the $2,100 buffer (50K) is cleared, then daily. Topstep's Standard path needs 5 winning days of $150 or more before the first request.

Do either use a daily loss limit?

MFFU's Rapid plan has no daily loss limit; its Builder plan uses a $1,000 soft-pause limit that halts trading for the day without breaching the account. At Topstep, the daily loss limit is optional in the Combine and XFA, and mandatory in the Live Funded Account.

Which has easier consistency rules?

MFFU's Rapid applies 50% consistency in the evaluation and none once funded. Topstep applies a 55% best-day rule in the Combine; the funded Standard path has no consistency rule, while the Consistency path uses 40%.
