Short answer
Lucid Trading and Apex both sell one-time-fee 50K evaluations with a $3,000 target, a $2,000 drawdown and a possible one-day pass. Lucid pays 90% with no payout-count cap; Apex pays 100% but closes each funded account after 6 payouts. Both keep a $52,100 safety net on a 50K.

How do payouts compare?
Lucid Pro pays 90% (accounts purchased or reset before November 28, 2025 keep 100% of the first $10,000). Each payout cycle on a 50K requires at least $500 of new profit, a 40% best-day consistency check and a balance above the buffer, which equals the $2,000 max loss limit plus $100 ($52,100). The minimum request is $500, so the smallest payout needs a $52,600 balance; per-request maximums are $2,000 on the first payout and $2,500 after that on a 50K. Lucid advertises disbursement within 2 business days and sets no payout-count cap.
Apex's new Performance Accounts pay 100% of approved requests. Eligibility takes 5 qualifying days of at least $250 each on the 50K EOD account ($200 on Intraday), a $500 minimum, a 50% consistency check and the same $52,100 safety net. The structural catch: 6 payouts maximum per account, capped at $1,500 to $3,000 per request on a 50K depending on product and payout number, then the account closes.

Which rules catch traders out?
On Lucid Pro, the 40% consistency rule and the $500 minimum profit goal (50K) reset after every approved payout, so each cycle starts fresh. If you trade before your payout is processed and the balance drops into the buffer, the request can be denied. The funded daily loss limit is optional: a fixed $1,200 on the 50K, which converts to LucidScale - 60% of your highest end-of-day profit - once the balance closes above the trail balance ($52,100 on a 50K).
Apex's Intraday evaluation trails your peak balance in real time, including unrealized gains, its EOD evaluation adds a fixed $1,000 daily loss limit (50K), and both new funded types enforce a tier-based daily loss limit intraday. New Apex products offer no resets: fail, and you buy a new evaluation. The 6-payout lifetime cap ends every funded account by design.

How do the funded accounts differ?
Lucid's funded account is simulated with no scaling plan, so you get full contract size immediately: 4 minis or 40 micros on a 50K. There is no cap on the number or lifetime total of payouts (the $2,000 first-payout and $2,500 later per-request maximums still apply), and Lucid says funded traders can potentially be moved to live markets.
Apex's Performance Account keeps the evaluation's size and drawdown model, adds tier-based contract scaling and an intraday-enforced daily loss limit, and keeps the safety net for the account's life. After the sixth payout, the account closes.
