How do payouts compare?

FTMO pays on demand from day 14, with a $20 minimum, and refunds the 2-Step fee with the first reward. FundingPips pays weekly routes from 7 days, bi-weekly from 14 days, or on demand once eligible, with a minimum request of 1% of Master size. FundingPips refunds only 2-Step Standard, at the fourth reward, not the first payout.

Which rules catch people out?

FTMO bans funded trades within 2 minutes of selected high-impact news on standard accounts and bans weekend holding there. FundingPips may deduct Master profit from trades inside 5 minutes of high-impact news, with a 5-hour swing exception, and allows weekend holding on Master accounts only with the Swing add-on. FTMO allows EAs within a 2,000-request daily cap; FundingPips permits only the trader's own trade or risk tools.

What changes once funded?

FundingPips Master accounts use tiered leverage on metals, energies and indices, and Zero adds a 1% combined floating loss limit. FTMO Swing accounts trade funded news and weekends freely at 1:30 forex leverage, against 1:100 on standard accounts. FundingPips bans VPN access for accounts; FTMO lets traders freeze an account for 7 days to 6 months instead of trading through a break. Prop trading can cost you every fee you pay.
