Apex Trader Funding vs Tradeify: one-time fees, different rules

Updated 2026-10-26

Short answer

Both firms sell one-time-fee 50K evaluations with a $3,000 target and $2,000 drawdown. Apex fits traders who want no evaluation consistency rule and 100% payout splits. Tradeify fits traders who want resets, a daily payout option and a funded drawdown that becomes a fixed floor. Apex closes accounts after 6 payouts; Tradeify sets no payout-count cap.

How do payouts compare?

Apex's new Performance Accounts pay 100% of approved requests, but each account allows only 6 payouts, capped at $1,500 to $3,000 per request on a 50K depending on product and payout number, before it closes. Eligibility needs 5 qualifying days of at least $250 each on the 50K EOD account ($200 on Intraday), a $500 minimum, a 50% consistency check, and a permanent safety net of $52,100 on a 50K, so the smallest request needs a $52,600 balance.

Tradeify pays 90% with no payout-count cap. Select Flex pays every 5 winning days ($150 or more each on a 50K), up to 50% of total profits capped at $2,500 per request. Select Daily pays daily above a $2,100 buffer with a $1,000 daily loss limit and a $1,250 per-request cap on a 50K (accounts purchased after September 1, 2026). The Flex-or-Daily choice is permanent for that account.

Which rules catch traders out?

Tradeify's Select evaluation applies a 40% consistency rule (a 50% add-on is available), so passing takes at least 3 trading days. The funded Daily path adds a daily loss limit plus a buffer you cannot withdraw into, and after any payout the account must be net positive for the new cycle before the next request.

Apex's Intraday evaluation trails your peak balance in real time, including unrealized gains, its EOD evaluation adds a fixed $1,000 daily loss limit (50K), and both new funded types enforce a tier-based daily loss limit intraday. New Apex products offer no resets: fail, and you buy a new evaluation. The 6-payout lifetime cap ends every funded account by design.

How do the funded accounts differ?

Apex's Performance Account keeps the evaluation's size and drawdown model, adds tier-based contract scaling and an intraday-enforced daily loss limit, and keeps the safety net for the account's life. After the sixth payout, the account closes.

Tradeify's funded account scales contracts with profit, and its drawdown locks permanently $100 above the starting balance once the end-of-day balance exceeds the drawdown by $100 (a $52,100 balance on a 50K) or at the first payout, whichever comes first. Consistent payouts lead to review for Tradeify's Elite live program.

Frequently asked questions

Which evaluation is easier to pass?

Apex's new products have no consistency rule and no minimum days, so one strong session can pass. Tradeify's Select evaluation requires 40% consistency, which means at least 3 trading days. Both set a $3,000 profit target and $2,000 drawdown at the 50K size.

Can I reset a failed account?

At Tradeify, yes: each Select evaluation can be reset up to 10 times within 30 days, at $109 per reset on the 50K. Apex's new products have no reset option; a failed evaluation means buying a new one.

Which pays out faster?

Tradeify's Select Daily allows a request any day above the $2,100 buffer (50K). Apex allows a request after 5 qualifying days of $250 or more each on the 50K EOD account, with a $500 minimum. Both advertise fast processing once a request is approved.

Do the funded accounts expire?

Apex closes each Performance Account after 6 approved payouts, so you requalify through a new evaluation. Tradeify applies no payout-count cap; the drawdown lock at $100 above the starting balance stays fixed for the account's life.
